Hello friends!
Did an early Mother’s Day catch you a little off guard?
Here are a few last minute ideas that can get to Maman in time and are so decadent that you will get major points!
Preserved roses in a stunning box:
Have you bought preserved roses before? They are supposed to last for months, but I have a small individual rose bud that has lasted for 5 years!
A major display like this will get compliments for months if not years on a side or entry table or in a prominent spot in her bedroom or closet.
I found these on 1800 Flowers here, but you can google ‘preserved roses box’ to find the size and color you’d like!
Laduree macaroon delivery through Goldbelly:
Laduree is perhaps the most famous French macaroon company, which has recently opened outposts in NYC, DC, and Miami.
If you don’t live in one of those hot-spots, you can now have them delivered by online service Goldbelly, which has a great selection of their gorgeously designed boxes with a chef’s selection of macaroons inside.
Or, their lovely teas, candles, cutest keychains (one of my favorite Paris souvenirs) if Mom is trying to avoid sugar but still loves beauty and pleasure (and Paris!)
If all else fails and you find yourself the evening before (or morning of en route to your visit!) sans gift, run by a Homegoods or TJ Maxx or Marshalls for the best and most affordable selection of gourmet chocolates, scented teas and candles, or picture frames I’ve found. Just make sure to remove those pesky discount price tags that are always placed in the worst spot.
I promise I won’t tell. 😉
Happy Mother’s Day shopping!
